Orla Kiely is offering 15% off the entire Fall/Winter 2014 collection starting today through Sunday, September 28! This offer is available on the US site and in the New York store. Check out what's currently on my wish list below and shop the entire collection here.
When I first browsed through Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2014 Etc Lookbook, I was immediately drawn to the Buttercup Stem Printed handbags, especially the Fold over Tote in Sand seen above.
The Buttercup Stem, which I believe is a brand new print for this season, is absolutely adorable and probably one of my favorite prints ever. It's difficult to choose between the Slate or Sand color. I love the kelly green accents on the Slate, but the Sand is just so lovely with its sweet baby pink flowers (Orla Kiely always chooses the most amazing color combinations!). I'm probably leaning more towards the Sand color simply because I just love the Fold over Tote in the lookbook photo above. I'm curious, though, why Orla Kiely chose nylon instead of the usual coated canvas. I think this print in leather would look amazing, but the nylon material makes these purses easier to maintain and keeps them at a lower price point - two things I like!
This is my latest obsession from Orla Kiely. I love the ease, convenience, and casualness of a backpack, but I'd been wanting a sleeker, more sophisticated one than my Linear Stem Backpack so that I could wear it with dressier outfits. And this one is perfect! I love both color ways, but I think I like the Hazel one better because it seems a bit more classic and multi-seasonal, and will pair well with many pieces in my wardrobe. I absolutely love that it's a convertible - I can wear it as a backpack, but you can also reposition the adjustable leather straps to wear it as a crossbody or get rid of them altogether and use it as a handbag.
The navy appears almost black, so this will also be a very versatile color. The leather appears supple, and its simple streamlined design makes this bag an instant classic. I usually prefer the original Linear Stem print, but I actually think the Sixties Stem print makes this bag look more sophisticated. The gold hardware and Orla Kiely logo on the back are also nice touches.
One of my all time favorite retailers, Anthropologie, is currently selling a few pieces from Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2014 collection. It's always exciting to see my favorite brand at my favorite store, and what's even better is that today is Anthro Day, which means members can save 15% off all items! It's free to join, so if you're not a member yet, visit your local store or click here. Once you've become a member, make sure to check out all the Orla Kiely pieces below and shop the entire collection here.
This coat appears different from the one on Orla Kiely's site. I don't like this version as much because it's missing the velvet trims and pocket detailing. And it's the same price! I'd definitely opt to buy this jacket from the Orla Kiely website instead.
I think the emerald color above is a better option because when I zoomed in on this clutch, the patent leather appeared to be a bit discolored. Maybe that's the intentional look, but I don't really prefer it so I'd go with the emerald one.
And then a fun wallet! I recently purchased the Textured Vinyl Dog Show Print Ella Bag and I am obsessed! I've already gotten several compliments on it, and this wallet is sure to put a smile on any dog lover's face.
This is definitely a bold purse for me, and probably not one I'd want to carry around in Florida. The shearling material on the front is interesting, but seems more appropriate for locations with colder climates.
Orla Kiely recently released a collaboration with French retailer Monoprix. And I must say, I am so stinkin' jealous of those living in France right now that are able to get their hands on this line! I'm not too familiar with this realizer, but it sounds like our version of Target. All the pieces look amazingly cute and so unique (an Orla Kiely lantern? Want!) Unfortuantely, it doesn't look like this line will be available to US shoppers. I tried to find a way to order online, but the website was difficult for me to navigate because it's all in French. Even the website only had three items available for purchase, so it looks like your best bet would be to visit a Monoprix store. So for my French readers, lucky you! Maybe Orla Kiely will launch a similar collaboration with Target for US shoppers. For now, we'll just have to admire from afar.
I honestly was not sure what this was at first (drawer liners? wall paper border?) But I used the google translator to discover that it was actually a roll of paper towels. This has to be the nicest paper towel roll ever, and it would be tempting for me not to ever use it, but that would be ridiculous right? It's certainly meant to be used, but maybe you could use a few sheets to frame because the prints are just so nice!
25€ (approximately $32)
20€ each (approximately $26)
7€ each (approximately $9)
10€ (approximately $13)
6€ (approximately $8)
5€ each (approximately $7)
I know there are more items than the ones listed above, but for some reason are not available on Monoprix's site. In addition to the items shown here, I believe there are tote bags, stationary, and even a baby clothing line! I'm hoping Orla Kiely will create a similar line for Target so shoppers in the US can enjoy these items as well!
