OOOTD:
Anthropologie Polka Dot Belt
Elle Farley Sandals (previously worn here)
Orla Kiely Iris Bag in Candy (previously worn here)

Summer vacation has been off to a great start for me! I love this time of year where I get to spend more time with my kids. If you're also a fellow teacher, cheers to another successful school year and I hope you are enjoying this much-deserved time off :)

Orla Outfit of the Day: Patchwork

OOOTD:
Mossimo Supply Co. Lace Crop Top
Sam & Libby Kamilla Sandals (previously worn here)
Orla Kiely Stem Printed Leather Iris Bag (previously worn here)

A midi skirt and crop top is most often my outfit of choice. I recently picked up this patchwork midi skirt on major sale from Madewell, although it's practically ankle-length on my 5'3" frame. I still love it, though, and plan on wearing it a ton this summer!

My super funny daughter also jumped in front of the camera for her own outfit of the day, so here ya go! :)

OOTD:
Old Navy Linen-Blend Elasticized-Waist Shorts

Orla Outfit of the Day: Golden

OOOTD:
Weston Wear Tulip Lace Shell
Elle Farley Sandals

This J. Crew skirt combines two things that I love - scallops and mustard yellow. However, upon wearing this outfit I came to the conclusion that I'm definitely a midi-skirt girl through and through. While this is hardly the mini-est of mini skirts, I found myself wishing it was just a tad bit longer. Oh well, it's still nice to add a bit of variety to my midi-skirt-filled wardrobe and the shorter length on this skirt will make it a great staple for the hot summer months ahead.

Nail polish color: Ciate Sugar Plum

Something to note about this necklace if you're considering it - it's quite long! I was under the impression that it was the same length as the Daisy Chain Flower Pendant, but it sits much lower and there's no way to adjust the chain. For me, that does limit the possibilities of outfits I could pair this necklace with, but I still love the design and am glad I have it in my collection.

Orla Outfit of the Day: Yay Crochet

OOOTD:
Anthropologie Polka Dot Belt

This Madewell crochet tank is probably one of my all-time favorite pieces in my wardrobe. When I first saw it in store, I immediately put it on my wish list and purchased it as soon as it went on sale. I can see myself pairing it with so many outfits, from jeans to midi skirts. The combo sweater-tank makes this great to wear year-round as well.

I have also been loving these J. Crew jeans lately - I'm always a sucker for distressed denim and the button-fly is on trend.

Nail polish color: Ciate Sugar Plum

Just a few more days and then I'm officially on summer vacation! Hope everyone had a great start to their week :)

Orla Outfit of the Day: Rainbows and Ruffles

OOOTD:
Gap belt
Orla Kiely for Clarks Blanche Sandals (review here, previously worn here, here, and here)

I love this Flora Necklace so much because it's quite simple and the two-tone metal makes it more versatile. My son asked me if these were two magnets stuck together and tried to pry them apart - he cracks me up!

Speaking of my son, he took these detail shots for me.

Loving these ruffle-sleeved blouses at Madewell!

My son has seen me take outfit photos for years now, but this was the first time my daughter watched me. She seemed quite amused and while I was setting the timer again, she ran to the wall and posed for a picture herself - I love her so much!

Orla Outfit of the Day: Dancing Girls

OOOTD:
Orla Kiely Dancing Girls Sundress
Coach leather wedge sandals (previously worn here and here)
Orla Kiely Poppy Watch

Pardon me as I stumble through this outfit post! It's been about 2 1/2 years since my last OOOTD so I'm a bit rusty.

I recently wore this outfit to my best friend's baby shower, for whom I'm soooo excited as she will be welcoming her first baby girl in just a couple months. I hadn't worn this dress before as I'd been saving it for a special occasion, and this baby shower seemed to fit the bill as this dress features a whimsy Dancing Girls print. The muted colors of the skirt, which add just an extra touch of femininity, paired well with the bright gold color of the Posy Bag. I have found this bag to be quite delicate and honestly looks so fancy to me that I try to reserve it for special occasions only.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend so far!

Orla Outfit of the Day: Thanksgiving

OOOTD:
LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection Embroidered Crepe Top
Orla Kiely Angelina Shoes (Haul + Review here)
Orla Kiely Confetti Flower Leather Jeanette Bag
LC Lauren Conrad Twig Headband

Hello, everyone! I'm sorry I have not posted here in a long time - it's been quite a stressful time for me with regards to both my family and work, so I've simply not had the energy to blog as consistently as I would have liked. I have received a few emails asking how I've been doing and checking in to see if I was ok, which truly touches my heart. I know we are all technically strangers, but I still feel a sense of friendship with this blogging community. I am so thankful that I not only have my wonderful family and friends, but that I also have this awesome community of people with whom I can share my love of fashion and all things Orla Kiely with. Thank you for those who have left me comments or emails just to check in - I feel truly blessed.

On that note, I hope that at some point I can feel inspired again and use this blog as a means of relieving some of the stresses in my life. I do miss discovering and writing about the latest Orla Kiey collections and sales, as well as communicating with all of you. I know I've missed out on posting about a ton of new stuff, but I still hope to play a bit of catchup over the next few weeks (better late than never right?)

So I decided a simple outfit post would be a good way to dip my toes back in the water. This was my Thanksgiving Day outfit - I'd been looking forward to an occasion where I could finally wear this adorable Lauren Conrad blouse - all the details are so sweet, especially the flutter sleeves and lace trims.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have already gotten a few questions on any Orla Kiely Black Friday deals I might have spotted, and honestly I haven't really seen anything. If I happen upon any, I will try to post about them tomorrow. In the meantime, please feel free to leave any sale finds in the comments below. Happy shopping, everyone!

Orla Outfit of the Day: Bad Moms

OOOTD:
LC Lauren Conrad Scalloped Shorts
Cherokee Glenna Sandals (previously worn here)
Orla Kiely OK4000 Watch (Haul + Review here)
Orla Kiely Stem Printed Leather Iris Bag

Last weekend, some friends I went out to see Bad Moms for some much-needed comic relief from the stresses of being a mom.

Since we were heading to the movies, I wanted to keep things minimal and carried what could possibly be my smallest purse ever, this Stem Printed Iris Bag, which is essentially a wallet with a strap. I could fit just a few cards, my keys, and a lipstick, but that's all I really needed for a night out at the movies.

I love the scalloped detailing along the neckline of this blouse.

These scalloped shorts and this oversized cardigan provided lots of comfort while sitting at the movies.

The school year officially started back for me today. If you're also a teacher or have children in school, best wishes for a wonderful school year!

Orla Outfit of the Day: Ping Pong

OOOTD:
Forever 21 Denim A-Line Skirt (previously worn here)
GapKids + DVF sandals

My family and I attended a sports ball-themed birthday party this weekend, so I decided to wear this ping-pong printed tank to go along with the theme :)

I purchased this backpack during Amazon's Prime Day sale, and I've been loving it the past few weeks while running errands and trying to keep my toddler son busy.

Even though this bag is a backpack, I sometimes carry it by its top handles or in the crook of my arm.

Happy Sunday, everyone! I am heading back to work this week, so I hope everyone has a wonderful work week ahead as well :)
