Orla Kiely SS16 Stem: Giant Linear Stem in Dandelion

Oh gosh, this Dandelion color is probably one of the prettiest colorways these Giant Linear Stem bags have ever been available in. I just love this bright and cheery hue! I haven't decided yet, though, which piece I like the best in this collection. I'm still quite curious about the Small Zip Shoulder Bag, but the Stem design gets cut off quite a bit on this style, so I think I'll opt for something like the Zip Shopper or the Backpack Tote. Which one is your favorite?

Don't know if you're a fan of Marimekko, as I am, but Target and Marimekko have collaborated and the collection will be launched online and in stores on April 17, 2016 (Sunday). There will be all sorts of items from clothing to housewares and even outdoor sporting equipment. Of course, the feeding frenzy will make it so that more items will be available on eBay than in store or online through the Target site, but that's what we've come to expect with these popular collaborations. Sigh....

Yes, I am a fan actually :) I bought one of their shower curtains from Anthropologie a few years ago that I love, and have gotten quite a few compliments on it, so I'm REALLY excited for this collection. I really wonder, though, what kind of frenzy it will create as it doesn't seem like a very mainstream designer. But based on the last few collaborations, I really shouldn't be surprised if Target stores and the website become a total madhouse the day the collection debuts. I'm really hoping I'll be able to get my hands on the pieces I want, though! I've been rather lucky in the past, but I'm one of those that gets up early and waits in line :)

You're right that Marimekko isn't as "mainstream", but some of their kitchen/home wares have been available at Crate & Barrel off and on. For this collab, I'll be up at the crack of dawn and in line... It launches on a Sunday, so easier for me to accomplish than if on a weekday. Trouble is, some of the Target stores in my area (I live near 4 of them in So. California), don't seem to have the inventory in stock until a day or two later and then it's usually "sparse" from the outset. I do notice that maybe a week out, there are lots of returns that show up (this was especially true of Lilly Pulitzer). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get to see at least some of the collection in person... Good luck! Love your blog!
