Orla Kiely AW15 Mainline: OK Box Bags

I have been waiting for these OK Box Bags ($342 each) to hit the website ever since I saw them in Orla Kiely's AW15 campaign, and they're now finally here! It's such a clever design, using Orla Kiely's initials on the front as pocket details in a contrasting color. Available in Indigo, Spruce, or Cocoa, all colorways are lovely so it's difficult to choose a favorite. In the photo above, the Indigo colorway appears more blue than in the photo below, which I actually prefer. I also like the Spruce version because green has always been a favorite of mine, and the Cocoa color is great for the holidays. Something else to note is that the Indigo and Spruce versions are made of a smoother leather, while the Cocoa has a textured leather. Which one is your favorite?

Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2015 collection has made great use of geometric designs, which I love since that is what I teach :) Here we have the Square Spot Flower print which, as the name would suggest, uses squares and spots to create an allover floral print. The first of Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2015 clothing collection has arrived, and I am loving all the geometric elements! Let's take a look at the Spot Square Triangle print first, which cleverly makes use of these three basic shapes to create an allover print of Orla Kiely's initials (well, whadyaknow, geometry used in real life!). Available in the colorways Bubblegum and Forest, these pieces are perfect for fall but can be easily transitioned into next spring.

I adore the front yoke collar of this dress, which has a really cool design feature - it's actually detachable, so once removed the dress has a simpler scoop neckline. I love this feature because you can create a couple different looks with the same dress.

I love this backpack for running errands and casual outings. It's super low maintenance, and it holds all the things I need when I'm out with my family. I mostly wear it as a backpack, but sometimes I like to carry it in the crook of my arm.

 

And yes, I finally got my very first pair of Birkenstocks! A Haul + Review post will be coming up very soon :)

Orla Kiely Small Backpacks

Just when I thought my obsession for backpacks couldn't get any bigger, Orla Kiely releases a new, even cuter, style - the Small Backpack. Measuring H10.4" x W10.2" x D3.6" (the original version is H14.8 x W12 x D3.6), it's still a pretty good size and has the same features as the regular backpack tote, which include a zippered front pocket, Linear Stem jacquard lining, interior pockets, and attached key chain.
