Orla Kiely Watches at Macy's

I was browsing Orla Kiely online yesterday when I stumbled upon these watches, which are surprisingly sold at Macy's. I really had no idea that this popular retailer sold my favorite brand, and I wonder if they are even available in store. Apologies if this is already widely known amongst OK fans, but for me this is new, so I thought I'd share with you all! I've done only a tad bit of research to see how their prices compare to other places such as ChrisElli and Watches2U, and it seems that in some cases Macy's had the better deal. For example, the Multi Stem Laurel watch, which has been on my wish list for awhile, is $158 at Macy's versus $190 elsewhere. However, I did notice that ChrisElli offers price matches and often have 10% off coupon codes, so that might be worth looking into in order to get the better deal.

I quite like this watch as I think it would be great for casual outings to the playground or sporting events. It has a simple plastic strap, which would wipe easily, and its durability means that I wouldn't have to baby it the same way I'd have to with leather or even metal watches.

What I love about this collection are all the baby items available, especially since I became a second-time mom not too long ago :) My baby girl is 7-months-old now, so I definitely still have some use for the baby bags featured here. I especially love the Backpack Baby Bag, an updated version of the Backpack Tote that now includes two side pockets and a changing mat. It appears the baby bags in this collection are made of laminated canvas, whereas the rest of the collection is nylon (at least according to the descriptions. I can't really tell from the photos as they all look like they are made from same material). I am also loving the Luggage Large Rucksack, another great item for travel (and I could even see this being used as a baby bag as well). 

Another item I am so curious about is the Cross Body/Belt Bag (which doesn't appear to be showing up online yet, but it is featured in the lookbook). I know this is gonna be another one of those polarizing trends - you're either gonna love it or hate it. And I'm on the side that loves it!

These bags can also be worn as a shoulder bag, so you can get the same look as the Small Cross Body shown above. 

Once again, there is a suitcase featured in the Sixties Stem print that I am so excited for! Hoping these make it to the website soon!

There are several awesome new pieces included in Orla Kiely's Stem collection, which I discussed in more detail with the Spring Bloom Vinyl line. This Sixties Stem Vinyl collection has the same pieces with the addition of the Luggage Large Pouch, a great little accessory that I think would be perfect for organizing your purse as it's quite a good size and the vinyl material is quite durable. I really like the Kingfisher colorway of this collection - such a pretty deep blue color with little pops of red. This collection also features the new Stem Flower printed lining.

What I'm looking forward to most, however, are the new luggage pieces! They are shown in the lookbook and I have seen a few pics on Instagram from those lucky enough to live near one of Orla Kiely's shops, but I have yet to see them on the website. They did appear briefly on ChrisElli's website, but for some reason they are no longer showing up and I'm wishing I had captured the product shots before they disappeared. I know they will show up online soon enough, but I'm just so excited about them! I have far too many luggage pieces already since Orla Kiely did a travel collection for Target, but a part of me would like to upgrade to these pieces. The vinyl material would definitely make these suitcases more durable than the polyester from the Target line, which from my experience, is prone to staining. I would love to upgrade to some travel items that require less maintenance and can withstand...well, travel.

Featured here is the Luggage Work Bag, which is quite a good size. I'm just loving the way these two pieces look together! It's been so long since Orla Kiely created travel pieces, and while I'm fortunate enough to have gotten the multi-color Large Car Medium Tote for my birthday several years ago, along with its matching travel beauty case, I did miss out on all the suitcases. So I'd love to be able to add a travel piece from Orla Kiely's main line to my collection, and this Sixties Stem version just might be it!

Orla Kiely SS18 Stem: Spring Bloom Vinyl in Ruby

There are so many new things about Orla Kiely's latest Stem collection. Previously, these bags have been available in mostly laminated canvas or nylon. This season, however, they are available in textured vinyl. Orla Kiely uses vinyl all the time in her Mainline collection, particularly with the Jeanie and Tillie styles. But I believe this is the first time that her classic Stem pieces are available in vinyl.

I particularly like the vinyl version of the Zip Holdall, as I think it would make a very durable travel bag.

Another nice change is the interior, which now has a Stem Flower printed lining.

It looks like the Cross Body is the newer version of the Travel Pouch. I think this replacement is a great idea as the Cross Body has a bit more depth to it, adjustable straps, and an exterior pocket.
