Orla Kiely FW15 Collection Now Available in the US

Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2015 collection has now made its way to the US website. I am so excited for this release because it means fall is just around the corner, which is my favorite season, and this collection has some of the cutest pieces Orla Kiely has ever released. Orla Kiely FW15 Mainline: Printed Check Leather in Black and Fawn

Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2015 collection is probably one of my favorite campaigns ever. I especially love the image above, which features the Printed Check Leather Large Holly Bag in a print reminiscent of graph paper, sitting atop a stack of math books. I can't even begin to tell you how happy this makes me (you know, being a math teacher and all). And on that note, I did recently return to work, so my lack of blog posts is due to the fact that I've been super busy adjusting to a new school year and settling into my old routine. But I hope to pick things back up soon and write more frequent posts!

These Printed Check Leather bags are just perfect for fall. They come in two colorways this season - Black, which has a cream checked pattern and yellow trims, and Fawn, which has light pink and black accents. I love both styles, but I think I like the Black just slightly more because of the pops of yellow, which is a color I love so much.

This is my favorite bag out of the whole collection. I don't own a Holly Bag yet, but this larger version seems like the perfect first one to own. It'll be great for work, and of course I love the yellow trim at the top.

Orla Kiely FW15 Mainline: Embossed Stem in Mustard and Indigo

Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2015 Mainline collection continues to grow with the return of some classic styles, as well as a few new additions, in the Embossed Stem leather in Mustard and Indigo. Yellow, especially mustard yellow, is my favorite color, so I'm so excited to see this hue as part of the collection.

This is probably my favorite bag out of the bunch. I love its classic shape, and the size and style are perfect for work.

We are already familiar with the Ella Bag, but now we have the Large Ella Bag. The dimensions are H28 cm x W35 cm x D15.3 cm (versus H23 x W31 x D15 of the original). I might actually end up liking this style better for work because I'm always carrying a ton of papers in my bag.

The Willow Bag is another classic, but this version has just a few slight changes. The sides are extendable and the straps are adjustable, a couple neat features to make this bag more personalized for your style.

Oh, another backpack! I love these so much, it's almost an addiction. This backpack has a couple interesting details, including its shape and the straps, which can be adjusted so that the bag can be worn as a handbag as well. Last year's Sixties Stem Punched Laurel Leather Backpack was a convertible as well and I LOVE it, but I always found that when I tried to wear it as a crossbody, it looked a bit awkward because the purse was so huge and boxy that it never looked quite right on my frame. So I ended up wearing it mostly as a backpack. I'm curious to see, though, how this Duffle Backpack will look as a handbag, and wonder if its shape will transfer better as a handbag than the Laurel Backpack did.

These smaller wallets are always favorites of mine because they are just big enough to hold your essentials, but small enough to fit in your smallest of bags or even in your pocket.

Orla Kiely FW15 Mainline: Spot Square Print

The first of Orla Kiely's Fall/Winter 2015 Mainline collection has hit the website with the debut of the Spot Square print, which has the initials O.K. boldly printed throughout. I love this geometric design because, well, I teach geometry, so I'm excited to see what else Orla Kiely has in store for her Mainline collection.

There are just a few differences in this collection, which will be noted down below.

We've seen the Mini Bay Bag before, but I believe this is the first ever backpack version. I'm a huge sucker for these backpacks, so it's no surprise that this is near the top of my wish list. 

This collection still has the card pocket either attached to the bag or hanging with a detachable strap. I'm still not too crazy about the attached pocket, but I do love the bright pop of red.

I love all these detailed shots that are now included on the website. This photo gives you a really good idea of the textured vinyl these bags are made out of.

I'm a big fan of the Willow bags, and this version is even better now with its zip closure and detachable shoulder strap.

It also includes a detachable card holder.

I love these Small Jeanie bags..and yet, I don't actually own a Small Jeanie bag! I do have a couple of the larger laptop bags that I often carry to work, though. Maybe this one could be my first small one :)

Overall, I love this collection because of all the geometric elements, and the color combination is great for the upcoming season. I usually favor the Spring/Summer collection, but so far these pieces have me excited for Fall/Winter.
