Orla Kiely Spotted: Target Flower Serving Bowl on Modern Family

With the season 7 premiere of Modern Family airing tonight, I thought it'd be fun to do a special throwback Orla Kiely Spotted post. Pictured below is one of the serving bowls from the 2009 Orla Kiely collaboration with Target, sitting on the counter just next to Phil's right shoulder :)

I actually didn't start watching Modern Family until a couple seasons after it premiered. My husband and I were just flipping channels one day and decided to watch this show that everyone seemed to be talking about. Needless to say, Modern Family quickly became one of our favorite shows - it's our go-to pick-me-up whenever we're in need of something funny after a stressful day.

Orla Kiely Textured Spot Flower Cushions

Orla Kiely has released another design in her ever-growing collection of cushions. This design features a new print called the Textured Spot Flower, available in Dark Olive, Nutmeg, or Slate. Each cushion features the print on each side, but in a reversed color. 

My husband was not too fond of these pillows because he thinks it doesn't look like a typical Orla Kiely design. And he's right...but I totally love these! I think the design is so interesting, and I'm loving the darker colors.

Orla Kiely Textured Vinyl Sunflower Scribble Small Jeanie Bag

This bag has been my latest obsession. I love that I can carry it crossbody, over the shoulder, or as a handbag. I really wanted to play off the blue centers of the sunflowers, so I decided to wear an (almost) all blue ensemble. To keep my outfit from looking too monochromatic, though, I threw on my favorite cardigan and scalloped ballet flats in the color blush.

I have been equally obsessed with these shorts. I waited months and months for these shorts to go on sale, and they were finally marked down to a little more than half off, and I took advantage of Anthropologie's 20% off promotion this past weekend for Anthro members :) The lace hem is so pretty and they are quite comfy with their elasticized waist. The simple navy color gives these shorts many styling possibilities.

My Favorite Looks from Orla Kiely's SS16 Presentation

Below are my favorite looks from Orla Kiely's SS16 Presentation yesterday. Let's take a closer look at each piece, shall we :)

This was by far my favorite look from the collection. I love the simplicity and vintage look of the top portion (I'm not quite sure if this is a dress or two separate pieces) and the floral print of the bottom. The dark navy and coral colors work quite well together.

This sweater is SO quirky and fun! I absolutely love the yellow color, floral print, and ruffled placket and collar (so pretty much everything!)

I found this dress so interesting because it's pieced together with so many different prints. I know this might be too much for some, but I totally love it. The top and bottom portions are black and white polka dotted, while the middle portion has a green floral print. And then the collar is yet another print, and it has an adorable peter pan collar and neck tie.

You know how obsessed I've been with midi skirts lately, so I was quite excited to see this one. The color and texture are so pretty, and I love the pockets and the buttons down the front. The blouse is also super adorable - I love the bib front and ruffle details.

I love jumpsuits, so of course this outfit was a favorite of mine. I love this black and white print, and it looks so comfortable to wear.

Orla Kiely Spring/Summer 2016 Presentation

My absolute favorite look from the show!

Orla Kiely showcased her Spring/Summer 2016 collection today, which centered around a golf theme. Her Spring/Summer collections are always my favorite, and this season was no exception. Orla Kiely's show was filled with bright florals and fun patterns that reminded me of the 70s. I wish we got to see more purses, but I guess that's just something we'll have to look forward to :) Check out all the looks below.
