I love these classic subway tiles on the backsplash of this kitchen. Such a simple design, but it ties together the whole kitchen and gives it a crisp, clean feel. Normally I don't like open shelves, but I think they work in this kitchen as a great way to display little knick knacks and oddities. They give the kitchen character and provide a homey feel.
