hello

I was inspired to start blogging by my husband's sister-in-law, Julie. She writes the most humorous and entertaining posts. I wanted to create a blog to share my thoughts on my love for everything from fashion to french fries. Hopefully, this blog will allow me to connect with those of you out there who share similar loves, as well as provide me with an outlet that I can use to unwind from a stressful day of being a public high school math teacher.

Hi Stephanie. Great blog - what is your sister-in-laws blog, am intrigued to read it.
As you love Orla, have you seen this collection? Orla produced a range of furniture for UK store Heal's: http://www.heals.co.uk/o/orla-kiely/icat/brand_orla_kiely

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I did check out the Orla Kiely collection at Heal's and I am OBSESSED with the Cork Easy Chair in Multi Stem. My sister-in-law's blog is the "My Mental Life" link located under the "Blogs I Love..." section on the right-hand side. Unfortunately, she hasn't blogged in awhile, but she still has a great archive!

Hi Stephanie. What a wonderful blog! I am a huge Orla Kiely fan and I came across your blog doing a random Google search because I just ordered the Scribble Stem 15" Macbook Pro sleeve from the U.S. website. It arrived yesterday and I'm waiting for a eBay purchase of the Stem iPhone snap-on case. I've been looking for one forever. It's actually been a while since I've made an Orla purchase (my last ones were Scribble Stem bags & accessories from Nordstrom and many of the items made for Target). I didn't even know about the collection at BB&B. Finally, Orla bedding that fits U.S beds! I live just outside Boston and I've been collecting Orla items for about 6 years. I even managed to drag my husband to the store in Covent Garden on our last trip to London in 2008. I can't wait to visit the store in NYC - my husband's brother and our sister-in-law live in Manhattan so I have a good excuse to visit. I adore your Large Car travel bag and will be asking my husband to get it for me for my birthday in September (when I'm also looking forward to the Sephora Fresh Sugar birthday gift - I use Sugar lip treatment everyday). Thanks for all the great info and photos. So nice to see another Orla fan in the U.S.!

Hi! Thanks so much for stopping by to read my blog! I first discovered Orla Kiely about 5 years on a trip to New York and I've been hooked ever since. I absolutely love her retro yet modern designs. I also dragged my husband to the London store when we were visiting about 2 years ago :) Haven't been to the New York location yet, but I'm really looking forward to checking it out one day. I'm always excited to see other Orla Kiely fans!

Is Orla Kiely still available in eyeglasses at Costco or was that just in 2015?

Some stores may still have them. I know my local store only has a couple pairs left, as well as one style of sunglasses. The stock varies from store-to-store so it's best to visit a store and see what they have. If you can't find what you're looking for, you may talk to a sales associate that works in that department and see if they can look up a particular style at another location - I know someone who's had luck doing that.

Hi, so what's the take now that they've gone into administration? Do you think there will be a revival? Can they recover given they didn't pay their staff for 3 weeks worth of wages? I'm interested in everyone's opinions on what might happen next?! Thanks
